Lu Impostu feels related to Cala Brandinchi, yet it has a different personality: broader, calmer, more composed. It shares the same pale light and bright sand, but leaves a softer memory behind.
Official Sardinia tourism sources describe Lu Impostu as a jewel of the north-eastern coast, with very fine bright sand, low sandy seabed and water that reflects shades from azure to green. It is naturally suited to travellers who want beauty and ease rather than drama.
Unlike more theatrical beaches, Lu Impostu impresses through balance. It is best discovered with time.
For Lu Impostu, preparation matters. The official San Teodoro Spiagge portal states that access is subject to mandatory reservation from 1 June to 30 September. The same public source explains that booking opens for the second following day from 6:00 PM on the current day—exactly the kind of practical detail that changes how you organise your day.
That rule is also what helps preserve the beach from uncontrolled crowding.
On the southern side, following the signs to Puntaldia, the official beach portal reports a paid municipal parking area and also free spaces along the avenue leading to the beach. The hourly rate varies between €1.50 in low season and €2.50 in high season. On the northern side there is also a privately managed parking area shared with nearby Cala Brandinchi.
Local tourism information also points to bars, refreshment points, umbrella rental and in some cases kayak rental, which makes Lu Impostu suitable even for travellers who want comfort rather than a minimal beach day.
You can spend a full day here, but for a more refined lunch or aperitif, Puntaldia or San Teodoro remain the better choices. Lu Impostu rewards a flexible day structure: sea in the morning, a lighter pause, and a slower return later on.
It is beautiful in the morning, but often looks most sophisticated later in the afternoon, when the pace drops and the light softens.
For Lu Impostu, the key step is always the same: check booking, availability and access rules on the official platform. San Teodoro Spiagge is the best source for reservation and parking information, while Sardegna Turismo remains the strongest public source for the identity of the place itself.
If you want to enjoy it properly, think beyond the beach itself: book in time, arrive without rushing, know your parking option and let the day stay fluid.

To enjoy this area at its best, it helps to stay close to the sea while keeping an easy base for the evening too. San Teodoro remains the natural choice, while Olbia and Posada work well if you want to combine beaches, outings and a different pace.
